Popular Surfing Beaches near Cardiff and Solana Beach Homes and Properties Seaside Reef is located about a mile south from this intersection above here in Cardiff, named "San Elijo Ave." Seaside Reef, now called south Cardiff State Beach, has has plenty of parking spots and they do charge now $8 BUCKS just to park unless you have the anual pass, which is well worth the $125 it costs. Just North of Seaside Reef is Georges, a popular beach break that runs from Seaside Reef to the Cardiff Chart House and in front of Las Olas Mexican food (a total MUST), the Beach House, and Charlies until reaching Cardiff State Beach, which is mainly a reef break which is great for all levels of surfers, that is until it gets some size. Parking at Cardiff state beach is available, too.   Once you get past Cardiff Reef and go north until Swamis, there are about 10-15 different surf spots which are all very unique, which you will have to discover yourself. However, they all are upon the bluffs of the famous "Campgrounds at San Elijo State Beach". This is going to be one of the best activities you can do to really soak up the fun in Cardiff, but you need lots of time to plan ahead, so make sure to get reservations.
